NEET UG photo size and format
According to the NTA NEET UG 2026 information bulletin, the passport-size photograph must be a JPG/JPEG file between 10 KB and 200 KB. NTA does not fix an exact pixel size, so the presets above use standard proportions that print and display clearly.

Adding your name and date to the NEET photo
Candidates are advised to have their name and the date the photo was taken printed at the bottom of the photograph. The NEET presets turn this on automatically: type your name as it appears in your form and check the date, and the tool adds a clean white strip with both below your photo.
NEET photo rules
- Use a recent photo with a plain white background.
- Your face should fill about 80% of the photo, with both ears visible and no mask.
- Spectacles are allowed only if you wear them regularly, and there should be no glare on the lenses.
- Polaroid and computer-generated photos are not accepted.
- Use the same photo everywhere. It is pasted on your attendance sheet and used at counselling and admission, so keep several prints: NTA suggests 6–8 passport-size and 4–6 postcard-size colour prints.
Finger and thumb impressions for NEET
The 2026 bulletin asks for the impressions of both hands, fingers and thumbs, in one image. Press each finger lightly on an ink pad and then on white paper in the order shown in the bulletin, photograph the sheet from directly above, and choose the finger impressions preset. NTA does not allow correction of this upload later, so check it carefully before submitting.
